To launch the Format Cells dialogue box, use Ctrl + 1. Alternatively, right-click the cells you want to format and select Format Cells from the popup menu. Toggle to the Border tab and perform the following steps: Select the desired border line style from the Line box.
In Excel, borders are the boxes produced by lines in the cell. We can frame any data and give it a proper defined limit by retaining borders. Outline summarised values or segregate data in ranges of cells to distinguish individual values; you can also place a border around cells.
Choose the cells you want to format from the drop-down menu. On the Home tab, click the down arrow next to the Borders button in the Font group. A drop-down menu displays, displaying all of the border possibilities available for the selected cell.
