Comments are a useful tool in Excel to provide insight into what is happening in the worksheet. They can be used to explain formulas, highlight important information or provide feedback on a workbook. Comments are not visible when the workbook is published, but they can be helpful for other people who might need to edit or update the workbook.
Comments are a way to add notes and explanations to a spreadsheet. They are not visible when you open the document, but they can be helpful for you or other people who might use the spreadsheet.
Select the cell containing the comment.
If you hover your mouse over the comment, the Edit option will display.
Choose Edit.
Make the necessary modifications on paper.
Save the file.
Comments are also an excellent way to leave instructions for other people who might use the spreadsheet. If someone else needs to update the spreadsheet, they can see what changes were made and why they were made.
Right-click on a cell and select Show/Hide Comments to see individual comments. Go to the Review tab > Show all Comments to see all of the comments in the worksheet. To resize or move any overlapping comments, click the comment box's border until the sizing handles appear.
