Select the range of cells in which you wish to eliminate duplicate values. Before attempting to remove duplicates, remove any outlines or subtotals from your data.

Choose the A1:C10 range.
Select Conditional Formatting from the Styles group on the Home tab.
Select Duplicate Values, Highlight Cells Rules.
Click OK after selecting a formatting style.
Choose the two columns of data you want to compare. Choose Highlight Cells Rules, then Duplicate Values from the Conditional Formatting drop down on the Home tab, in the Styles grouping. Select the colours you desire in the Duplicate Values dialogue box and click OK. Unique is an option as well.
