Counting the number of cells that meet a criterion is one of the statistical functions.

COUNT, COUNTA, COUNTBLANK, COUNTIF, and COUNTIFS are the five different COUNT functions. If we wish to count only numbers that fulfil certain criteria, we must use the COUNTIF or COUNTIFS functions.

The COUNT function counts the number of cells with numbers and counts the number of parameters in the list. To find the number of entries in a number field that is part of a range or array of numbers, use the COUNT function.

To retrieve the answer, select a blank cell in your worksheet, type "=intwordcount(A2)" into the Formula Bar, and then press the Enter key. Note: In the formula, A2 is the cell where you will count the amount of words.
