FIEO serves as a vital link between India's international trading community and the country's central and state governments, financial institutions, ports, railways, and surface transportation, as well as everyone else involved in export trade facilitation.
The government has designated FIEO as an Export Promotion Council for registration reasons. In order to receive an RCMC, an exporter must indicate his major line of business in the application to the Export Promotion Council for that line of business.
FIEO is one of the organisations that can issue a Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin. Through two systems, FIEO issues Online Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin. DGFT's Common Digital Platform (www.coo.dgft.gov.in).
