The process of registration for Import starts by downloading the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. After opening the app, users are asked to fill in their details, like name, email address, and phone number. Next step is to add their product information such as the type of product, brand and country of origin. Finally, they have to scan a barcode or enter the SKU number for each item on their list.

Different types of international imports:

  • Importing goods
  • Importing services
  • Bringing in foreign workers
  • Bringing in foreign capital

In order to import a product to a country, you need to complete the following steps:

  • Find out about the regulations of the country
  • Find out about the procedures for importing products into that country
  • Contact customs authorities of that country and find out what documents need to be submitted in order to import a product into that country
  • Obtain all required documents and submit them with your application for approval.

  • You can avoid paying duties and taxes on your imported products, which means you will save money on these costs.
  • You can use your company’s tax ID number to get a credit or refund on your taxes, which means you will save money as well.
  • You can claim certain types of expenses and write them off as business expenses, which means you will save money

Sign up for your IEC. The Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) is a necessary corporate identifying number for exports and imports. No one may import or export without first obtaining an IEC Number from the DGFT.
