Now, what is “on page” SEO? So, inside your website, you can change the contents of technical things which means Amazon, Flipkart, and other platforms are also included and hosted platforms are also included, and self-hosted are also included.
So, the changes that you do inside of your website, that kind of SEO is called On-Page optimization, On-page SEO, where we make some changes inside the website.
What will we do? Well, we will insert images, change the headline, change the description, and change the Bio and catalogue as well.
Everything that we are changing, we are doing it with respect to a search engine which is implied. All the things are called On-Page Optimization. Okay.
So “on-page SEO shows search crawlers what a website is about”. Yes, Crawler which is used to search, you can say it Bot or algorithm.
As soon as it comes to your website, it will analyze what are all the things that are mentioned, it will include the information in its database, that’s why we have to make our headline, description, the structure of data has to be maintained properly. Because all the data is copied by the crawler in its database. Search engine. And after that data is indexed. So On-page SEO means the changes that are done into our website. Just understand this. Well friends, On-page SEO, what is On-page optimization?
So, when you introduce any product in the market or platform, then you can see that there are images, videos, and different ways are used to show the catalogue. And during that, they have also given the headline properly.
As you can see, I have taken an example of the OnePlus Y Series, where if anyone searches OnePlus Y series, it will lead them to this product and also there are many more information such as product description where you can see all the features “Dolby audio, Android TV, oxygen play, Connectivity”, all the specification that are given here are implanted quite strategically.
Yes, it has been planted strategically on the page. It has been done like that so that if anyone searches “OnePlus Y series”, (read slow, typing) if anyone types this in the search engine, so you can see that this product is displayed on the screen. And scrolling down I can see all the information.
Now, this product is being sold by many sellers. Many sellers might already have kept the same name but you can notice that there are different things. So, how is its ranking done?
Well, it is done via On-page. As you can see there are reviews here. look, are you able to see, “reviews”.
Now, these reviews On-Page means it is inside that website. So how did reviews come inside the website? And how did this get more reviews?
So, look, there are certain tricks these suppliers, manufacturers, and producers of the product apply.
I am going to show you the tricks. The first one is if you want to get a review from someone, then give them an extra discount or offer them extra money.
You can offer them 50 rupees and ask for a review and inform them that if you take the screenshot of the review and share it with us, then we will give you a 50 rupees discount.
Or you can ask the user if they want an extra discount on their next purchase, then you can give the user a Coupon code if they are buying from you.
And more discounts will be available after applying the Coupon Code. So doing these kinds of things led them to collect more reviews and collect rankings.
So, from those purchases only, from those customers only, they made new customers. Well, how did this happen?
Well, they used some tricks in their website module. Yes, this is called On-Page optimization.
So, what happens in On-Page Optimization? we can increase our ranking anyhow, inside our website which means on the platform itself. That means that anything that we are doing to delight our customers comes under On-Page Optimization.

Yes friends, As soon as any user comes On-page, as you can see that reviews of this particular seller are more, so the crawler thinks why not give this page first position. It might have happened like this, that crawler might have thought that this should come above on ranking.
As you can see, this one is a very good seller on Flipkart and it is written ‘assured’ which means this might be the member of Flipkart or Plus member of Flipkart.
So, that might be one of the reasons or else they must have sold more items via Flipkart, and this might have also led to more rankings. (Clear?)
There are different algorithms of Flipkart and Amazon and they can get such good rankings after satisfying those algorithms.
You can also get this kind of ranking; all you have to do is understand some rules and regulations. Flipkart has some different rules and regulations, Amazon has different rules and regulations. If all this is grasped by you, then you can also do on-page SEO on your platform. If you have your own website, then do not worry.

Now see, what is Off-Page Optimization? In simpler and sober words, try to understand it. It’s like you are getting references. From where? So, consider what you are getting from somewhere.
What is On-Page SEO? On-Page SEO means that you can change the contents inside of your website, but what is Off-Page SEO? Off-Page SEO means the referrals that you are getting from outside.
If you want to understand it properly, then let’s try to grasp it with the help of an example. Consider that you have opened a Salon shop. Now, this Salon shop was opened by you. So, you will change the interior, you will change the outer space.
Which means if someone watches from outside then it should look like ABC, but if the person comes inside then it should look like XYZ.
So, aspects of seeing the interior and exterior both are considered from the perspective of others. So, you have maintained everything in the salon.
Now, who will come inside the salon? The person who has already been in the salon will refer to someone else that ‘if you need any kind of salon service, then you can go to the same place I have been to.’
And you can try to go to different offices, or you can advertise in the newspaper or via an article. Or you can go to different organizations and let them know that you have opened a new salon and there are many discounts available and you can come to visit the salon.
So those people who are reading the advertisement, or the people hearing about you from others, that means they have been given reference from someone else, that is called Off-page optimization.
That means, there are no changes taking place inside the website but it is being modified outside of the website. And people are reaching inside of your website through outside, so that strategy is called Off-page Optimization. (Understood?)
Look, friends, there are many definitions. But I am letting you know in a simple sober way. This is called a backlink. Don’t get confused, this backlink means reference.
That means you are getting referred from somewhere else. If you are on Amazon dot com then someone from Facebook might have seen your product. From Facebook, the manufacturer on Amazon, the product list is made visible through amazon. In there, someone has reached out via Facebook or Instagram.
So, a person coming via Facebook or Instagram, that people are Off-page, means they have come from somewhere else.
It “shows search crawlers that a website is important and valuable” which means this website is present somewhere else too and in many other places, and people are coming from there to the website. Okay.
So, let’s see it practically.
Well, friends, let’s have a look at practical off-page Optimization. If you search on Google, ‘Furniture near me’. So, maps are displayed and consider if you are in the map section, then when you click and go in the map, it is diverted into your website. So, a link to your website can be attached to this. Okay, got it?
Also, if you search ‘Learn Vern’, as an example. If you are searching ‘Learn Vern’ in google then you can see that Learn Vern has its own website.
But, if you check on the right side, you can see a Google my business listing, and you can also see that we are on Google Play Store, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter and we are present on many other different pages.
So, what are these LinkedIn or Instagram for us? This is Off-Page Optimization for us. Yes, we went on these different websites and we are not on our website. We are showing ourselves and telling about us on a different website and people are coming to our website from other platforms. Yes, friends. This strategy is called Search Engine Optimization of Off-page. (Understood?)
