Well, come, let’s begin with another topic.
So, today's topic will be, what is “Flipkart bronze, silver, and gold seller?”
Now look friends, Flipkart has categorized its sellers into three main tiers:
The first is Bronze. The second is Silver and the third one is gold. Okay.
What are the benefits? I am going to show you all the benefits live.
So, when you go to Flipkart’s website or any other platform’s website, you will find a fees calculator for sure.
Here I want to show you the pricing calculator or Flipkart’s fees calculator.
Now, here if you want to sell a book whose cost is 200 rupees, then you will see “how much you make” means how much you get in your hand which is 112.92 for this book.
Now, If I move it to silver, how much can I make? So, as you can see, in silver you will earn 100 and something, and if you change to bronze, then it will go below 100. Look.
Please see that when I sell a product of 200 rupees, I get only 96 rupees in hand.
Look, the bronze seller is a new seller which is the default seller. When you start, you will fall under the “bronze” category only by default. But, step by step as you become eligible, you can become a silver or a gold seller.
So, come let's see this in our PPT of this module.
Now look friends, as we saw practically on Flipkart’s seller website; “bronze, silver, and gold”. There are numerous advantages and we will also see, how can you get the eligibility?
So what are the eligibility criteria for getting bronze? If you want to get into the bronze tie or if you want to become a bronze seller, well, you are ready to get the bronze tier. As soon as you make your seller account, you are ready for the bronze tier. Yes, by default you come under the bronze category.
And, as you keep showing your performance, you will get add-on things, and eventually, you will also become eligible for silver.
Now, what is the eligibility for silver?
So, you have to maintain your minimum revenue of 30 lakh or you have to make a sale of at least 4,000 units. Yes.
And, “0.50% seller cancellations”. Yes, after booking any product, if the seller cancels, look, generally, the seller cancellations are done when the customer does not like your product or there is any default in that product, and the buyer cancels it. So, the seller cancellation must be less than 0.50%. (Clear?)
Then, friends, there is one more thing that is RTD that is “ready to dispatch”. Let’s say you get an order online, but you failed to fulfill that order. You failed to dispatch the product. Due to this, what will happen? Your RTD level that is ready to dispatch level will keep on declining. As the RTD level declines, the percentage keeps increasing. So, the RTD should always be less than 1.40%. It must remain below 1.40%.
If you follow all these criteria or fall under these criteria in your Flipkart account then you are upgraded to the silver tier. (Exciting, right?) You become eligible for the silver tier.
Now, if you want to become a gold seller, you have to strategize and sell more products so that you can maintain the minimum revenue of Rs.60 lakh, for silver, the minimum revenue was 30 lakhs, now for gold, it has doubled to 60 lakhs. So, if you maintain the minimum revenue of 60 lakhs on Flipkart or sell 9,000 units, then you will also become a gold member in Flipkart. Okay.
And if the seller cancellations are less than 0.15% and the RTD is less than 1%, then also you will become a gold member.
Well, yes, you should maintain all these criteria and fulfill them. It is not like, once you become a gold seller, you will remain under the gold tier, you have to fulfill these criteria every time, every month, all year.
This information is displayed on the seller dashboard that you are in the gold tier or the silver tier or you have to sell your product more effectively so that you can enjoy all the benefits of this membership. Friends, you will get all the information in the seller dashboard. (Clear?)
Now, come, let’s have a look at the benefits.
Benefits of being a bronze, silver, or gold member:
The benefits are “Forward shipping fee discount”. Forward shipping fee discount means you can get shipping discounts like 10% in silver and 20% in gold.
Then, the “payment cycle” is 15 days in bronze, in silver, it is 10 days, and in gold, it is 7days. So, the gold member will get the money in 7days while the silver member will get the money in 10 days and the bronze member as a new seller will get the money in 15 days.
Then, “Product visibility to customers”. Yes, as a bronze seller, your product visibility is low, but when you become a silver seller you get a silver card on the seller dashboard, then you will be in medium product visibility, and when you fulfill the gold criteria and become a gold member then you have the highest product visibility. All the products that you see which are first on the list are all gold members.
Then, “Account manager” is assigned to you if you are a silver or gold member, but if you are in bronze you will not have an account manager.
Then, the “Seller support” is regular for bronze, but, if you are in the silver or gold tier, then there is “Flipkart Care Touch” support for you.
Lastly, “Exclusive Flipkart Events”, when there are events like Christmas, Diwali, end of year sale, winter sale, summer sale, and many-many events are always going on on Flipkart. There are many events on Flipkart. So, the maximum benefits are there for gold members and not for silver or bronze members.
