The DROP TABLE statement removes a table and its data permanently from the database. In MySQL, you can also remove multiple tables using a single DROP TABLE statement, each table is separated by a comma (,). The TEMPORARY option allows you to remove tables without affecting the data in them.
Unlike the DELETE command, the TRUNCATE command is fast. We cannot rollback the data after using the TRUNCATE command.
To rename a table, open SQL Server Management Studio > Connect to SQL Server instance > Expand database > Expand tables > Right-click on tblSchool > Rename. Or, just click on tblSchool. Specify the new name and hit Enter. As you can see, the name of the table has been changed.
