FAQs

  • MPLS. For countrywide WAN connectivity, MPLS offers a secure, reliable, and adaptable solution.
  • Ethernet in the city (MOE) Metro Ethernet Service is a versatile, simple-to-use transport service based on Ethernet transport technology.
  • SD-WAN is a type of wide-area network that (Software Defined Network)

A WAN is a network of local area networks (LANs) that link to other LANs via telephone lines and radio waves. It can be restricted to a single firm (a corporation or organisation) or open to the public. The technology is both high-speed and low-cost. Switched WAN and Point-to-Point WAN are the two forms of WAN.

WANs have been implemented using the following communication and networking technologies.

  • Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
  • Cable modem.
  • Dial-up internet.
  • Digital subscriber line.
  • Fiber-optic communication.
  • Frame Relay.
  • ISDN.
  • Leased line.

Businesses can use WAN technologies to reduce the time and money that they spend on data communications. This is done by making it easier for them to share information between each other.
There are many benefits of using WAN technologies. They include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Faster data transmission rates
  • Reduced network congestion
  • Lower latency rates

A wide area network, or WAN, is a computer network that spans a relatively large physical distance. The use of WANs has grown as the internet and the number of computers in an organisation has grown.

The use of WANs is not without limitations. There are two main limitations to using these networks:

  • The performance and speed of data communications can be hampered by the distance between computers and other devices on the network.
  • Connectivity issues may arise if wireless signals from the wireless networking hardware are blocked from reaching other devices on the network by obstacles such as walls or trees.
