The UI text view is a widget that displays text on the screen. It can display any text as long as it is formatted in a certain way. It can also be used to create custom views for your app. It has many properties that you can set like font, color, size, margins and much more.

A text view is a type of control that displays either text, images, or both. Text views can be used to display text in a single line or multiple lines. This tutorial will show you how to change the font size of a UI TextView control.

  • Set the desired font size using setTypeface() method.
  • Specify the desired font family and style using setTextAttribute().
  • Set the desired letter spacing using setLetterSpacing().
  • Use setLineBreak() method to break a line of text into multiple lines.

In this article, we will compare the TextView and Button controls. We will discuss their similarities and differences and why using a Button control would be better for your app.

TextView vs. Button: Introduction:

  • A TextView is an Android control that displays text in a TextView widget. It is used to display text on-screen or in a ListView, GridView, or RecyclerView.
  • Button control is an Android control that displays an actionable button with text on-screen or in a ListView, GridView, or RecyclerView.
  • The two controls are similar because they both display text on-screen or in a list view.

A UI TextView control is a type of view that displays text on a screen. The text can be in various fonts, colors and sizes. While the color and background can be customized by the user, there are times when the developer needs to customize them as well.

There are two ways to customize the color and background of a UI TextView control:

  • You can use an UITextView subclass that overrides its drawRect method
  • You can use an IBOutlet property in your XIB file

  • Add the ImageView as a subview of your UI TextView
  • Set the content of your ImageView to be whatever you want it to be
  • Add a UIViewController that manages your UITextView and add it as a subview of your UI TextView
  • Add the UIViewController in the storyboard as a child view controller of your main app view controller
  • An ImageView control is used to display an image on the screen. It can be used with a UI TextView control to display text on top of the image.
  • ImageView is a view that displays an image, and it can be used with a UI TextView control to display text on top of the image.
