The project manager is a cross-functional person who oversees and controls the whole process of a mobile app development. In some cases the project manager might be an expert on his/her own field. An app project manager might be an individual with experience in different fields, such as product management, design, UX or software engineering. But they are often also people who have worked for large organisations with many resources, such as universities and research centres, so that they can quickly grasp the main aspects of all projects and their completion. The role of an app project manager is to create an efficient process from start to finish for all developers and managers in order to deliver the final product on time at a reasonable cost.
