  • Android - UI Table Layout Practical

Course Content

The ViewGroup subclass Android TableLayout is used to show the child View components in rows and columns. All of the children's elements will be organised into rows and columns, with no border lines between the rows, columns, or cells.

android.widget. TableLayout. A arrangement in which the children are arranged in rows and columns. A TableLayout is made up of several TableRow objects, each of which defines a row (actually, you can have other children, which will be explained below). Border lines for rows, columns, and cells are not displayed in TableLayout containers.

The challenges of using a UI table layout are that it is difficult to create a hierarchy on the page and that it can be difficult to read. The use of tables in web design has been around since the early days of HTML, but they have evolved significantly over the years. They are now often used as an alternative to more traditional layout options such as columns, grids, or flexbox. They can also be used for visual hierarchy and content grouping depending on their positioning within a design.
