Personality tests, intelligence tests, work samples, and assessment centres are all examples of assessments that can be utilised for job testing. Some are more closely related to job performance than others, and companies frequently use more than one to increase predictive power.

An employment test, as the name implies, is a test given by an employer to potential employees to determine whether they are qualified for the position. This method evaluates candidates based on objective scores and takes place prior to the interview procedure.

Cognitive exams examine reasoning, memory, perceptual speed and accuracy, math and reading comprehension skills, as well as understanding of a certain function or vocation. Drug Testing: Potential employees may be subjected to a variety of drug tests as part of the hiring process.

IQ tests, the most prevalent, assess general mental capacity. Other examinations assess verbal aptitude, numerical skills, spatial vision, and inductive and deductive reasoning, among other things. Strength, endurance, and muscle mobility are all measured in physical ability tests. Aptitude exams assess a candidate's capacity to pick up new skills.
