With windows features such as AutoText and AutoFormatting, we can easily separate the text into columns in MS Word. In Word, there is a feature called "text to columns". This feature allows you to divide the text into different boxes for easier reading. For example, if your text contains a lot of numbers, you can add "numbers" and "numeral" lines to the document.
Most of the split screen windows are opened by pressing a '+' or '-' button. However, there are some cases when you need to do that by using a shortcut key. This is how it works.Split screen in ms word can be used in a variety of ways:
Using the Split Screen in MS Word tip above, you can easily split window into two windows by pressing Alt + Shift + 1, or by pressing Ctrl + 1 on the keyboard. This way you can work separately on two different tasks at once. This is very handy when you need to create several pages of content simultaneously for example, an FAQ section and a landing page for your company website. Once done, use Alt+ Shift+2 or Ctrl+2 to merge the windows back together.
Here is a way to put a line between columns in Microsoft Word. Open up Microsoft Word and select the Home tab on the ribbon. Under the Layout section, click Line between columns. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL + ALT + L for that.
