Paragraph shading is a tool that can be used to improve the readability of a document. It provides a way to identify the same word in two different paragraphs and change the font size. We can use paragraph shading to set the tone of a particular section of the document. This will immediately convey some tone to the reader.
This is one of the important tools which you should master to become an effective writer. However, it's not easy at all if you are still struggling with using these tools in your work. Some people believe that paragraph shading is an advanced technique for writing better content. It is also known as formative sentence writing or form-focused writing. When writing paragraphs, you need to write sentence structure after sentence structure (above). The above paragraph example is done by using the paragraph shading technique! Only this will make your content more concise and readable.
The alternative way to do this technique would be by putting down sentences.
1.Go to Design > Page Borders.
2.Make selections for how you want the border to look.
3.To adjust the distance between the border and the edge of the page, select Options. Make your changes and select OK.
4.Select OK.

The default setting for borders and shading in MS Word is Off. In order to use them on a document, you need to enable them. To do so, click on File > Options > General, scroll down to the Border and Shading section and check the box which reads "Allow borders" or "Allow shaded text".
In addition, you need to follow some more steps in order for the settings of these two features to be changed on a particular document:
- Select a particular document by clicking on File > Open
- Before going into editing mode, click on File > Options
- Scroll down to the Line Spacing section and change Line spacing from Default (2) up to 2 or
