Select View > Shadows from the drop-down menu. The Shadows feature is now enabled. To enter the Shadow Settings dialogue box, go to Window > Shadows. In the Default Tray, open the Shadows panel to customise how the shadows appear.
Select View > Shadows (if the Shadows option isn't already chosen) to use this feature. Then go to Window > Shadow Settings to access the date and time controls, which allow you to view how the light and shadows appear at different times of the year.
Select OpenGL in Window Preferences (PC) or Option Preferences (Mac). Make sure the Use Hardware Acceleration option is turned on. Whether it isn't, uncheck the box, close SketchUp, then restart it to see if the problem is resolved.
