In order to create an accurate and realistic house exterior in Sketchup, the following are the steps to follow:

  • Using the "Walls" tool, draw a rectangle around the exterior of your house.
  • Using the "Roof" tool, draw a rectangle around your roof.
  • Draw a window on each side of your building.
  • Draw doors on each side of your building.
  • Draw windows in between each floor of your building.
  • Create a door on one side of your house and windows in that same wall.

The first thing you will need to do is to download Sketchup. You can use the free trial version or purchase it off of the website. After you have downloaded and installed it, open the software and go to File > New > House Exterior.
