The benefits of using multiple levels Floor Plans in Sketchup are that they allow you to quickly change the perspective of your model without having to redraw it all over again. This allows you to create more interesting and creative designs.

  • Sketchup is a 3D modeling software that allows users to create 3D models. It has a tendency to be overwhelming for beginners, especially for those who are not familiar with the software.
  • The trick to creating a multiple level floor plan in Sketchup is knowing how the program works and remembering the different types of objects that can be used as building blocks.

It's easy to create an elevation with Sketchup as long as you know what you're doing. Here are some steps on how to do it:

  • Create a wall at the desired height or angle
  • Click on the elevation tool icon
  • Select one of the two options - horizontal or vertical

  • Sketchup is a CAD software that allows users to create 3D models. It’s also possible to create elevation drawings of buildings by using Sketchup tools.
  • First, make sure you have Sketchup. You can download it for free from Sketchup website. Next, you will need a ruler and a pencil/pencil eraser. You can also use your finger as a ruler if you don’t have one on hand.
  • Next, open the elevation tool in Sketchup. In the options bar at the top left of your screen, set the elevation scale to 1:50 and zoom in on the building you are drawing so that it fills your screen completely
  • Lastly, start drawing!
