  • To import a SketchUp file into a model, first open it.
    Choose File > Import from the File menu.
  • Navigate to the SketchUp file in the Open dialogue box that displays.
  • Click Open after selecting the SketchUp file.
  • To add the component to your model, click on the drawing area.

The Model Info>Statistics list can be used to generate a simple report on your components (name and number of instances) (select Only Components from the popup list).

Usage. After the installation, a new tab called "ProdLib" will appear in SketchUp's Extensions ribbon. This tab contains all of the libraries that have been downloaded. Simply pick the required manufacturer to launch the library.

The order in which components are organised in a SketchUp model has a significant impact on the speed with which your design and modelling work may be completed. A Group is a single instance of a collection of geometry by definition. A component is a named group of geometry that can be found in various places across the model.

3D Warehouse is a SketchUp online library that you can access through the SketchUp software panel.
