Create plans, elevations, sections, build details, model views, and any other information you'll need to get started on the project. SketchUp is incredibly accurate, so you can rest assured that everyone working on the project will have all of the information they need. The best thing is that your building paperwork will alter as your model does.
Select File > Insert in LayOut to access your SketchUp model. Simply right-click on the SketchUp window and choose Scenes: "PLAN" from the drop-down menu. Then right-click and select Scale = 1mm:50mm from the menu. In LayOut, your scaled layout is now complete, and you can begin dimensioning and annotating the critical details.
The benefits of creating a quick plan in Sketchup are many. First, it will allow you to save time by not having to go through the tedious process of drawing out each element on paper. Second, it will allow you to make changes as needed without having to redo the entire plan over again. Finally, it provides an easy way for people who are not very creative or artistic to come up with their own design ideas without having an extensive knowledge in design.
