Floor plans should be drawn to scale, which involves shrinking the size of your drawing such that the entire room fits on a sheet of paper or on a computer screen. 1/4 inch = 1 foot is a frequent scale. Objects such as furniture and show booths that will be included in the floor design should be scaled to the same scale.
