First, create a cube and set the height to around 10 feet.
Next, select the floor plan tool from the toolbar and choose the type of floor plan you want to create. Selecting this tool will open a window on your screen where you can choose from three different types of floor plans - flat, sloped or irregular. Next, click on one of the faces and choose either "Floor" or "Wall". You can also click on the edges to change them into walls or untapped edges.
Many SketchUp modellers value terrain: your building requires ground to stand on, or you may be modelling the ground itself to create a landscape. But hold on a second. The Sandbox tools in SketchUp, which are used to model terrain, can also be used to build forms that aren't connected to topography.
