The most important thing to remember when using telephone conversations is that you are talking to someone who knows what they are talking about. They will have a good idea of the vocabulary and concepts that they need to express in English. So, you should simply listen and be polite.

In English, a telephone conversation is somewhat like a conversation in person. You can talk to another person while moving around as well. You can also use it for talking to other people on the phone without meeting them in person. There are some different types of telephone conversations that you should know about before using this form of communication.

The most common mistakes in phone conversations are being too casual, being too formal, not speaking clearly, being loud and not ending the conversation when you're done.

Say “Hello” and state your name in a pleasant tone of voice.
