Morning! I don't think we've met before, I'm Aryan. Hey there! I'm Surya. I'm new—I just moved to the building a couple of days ago. Hi Amy. I heard it's your first day so I thought I could reach out and introduce myself. We haven't officially met but I'll be working with you on this project.

In 30 to 60 seconds, you have the opportunity to highlight your talents, expertise, education, and professional interests to someone fresh. It's a terrific approach to start a conversation about your job and a great answer to the interview question, "Tell me about yourself."

There are many ways to introduce yourself in English. One way is to say, "Hello, my name is ____" with your name. Some people might say, "My name is _____." This structure can be used in different situations when you want to introduce yourself to others.

When writing a professional email or letter, it is important to introduce yourself. If you are a business owner or a customer you will need to provide your name and the company you work for. It is also important to mention why you are contacting the person. Remember, this introduction should be short and sweet.

  • Hi
  • I am writing because I wanted to let you know about how our company could help you with
  • your needs this year.
  • Best,
  • Your name

If one of the following applies, it is permissible to introduce oneself in English:

  • You want to strike up a conversation with someone you've never met before.
  • You're curious about the person's name, occupation, or hometown.
  • You'd like to exchange phone numbers with them.
