FAQs

Morning! I don't think we've met before, I'm Aryan. Hey there! I'm Surya. I'm new—I just moved to the building a couple of days ago. ... Hi Amy. I heard it's your first day so I thought I could reach out and introduce myself. We haven't officially met but I'll be working with you on this project.

The purpose of a self-introduction is to introduce yourself to the person who is taking your interview. It will help the interviewer to know about yourself and your good self introduction will make a big positive impression in the interviewers’ mind.

Some people write short introductions, while others write long ones. But it is important to remember that the length of your introduction is going to determine the time it takes you to read and understand it, so take your time with this!

There are several ways to prepare for an interview:

  • Research the company and the position you are applying for.
  • Practice answering general questions about what you want in your next job or a certain company.
  • Practice interviewing yourself using a mirror and try different questions.

A self introduction for interview or otherwise is an extended version of an elevator pitch where you are the 'idea'. A self introduction for interview, for instance, would comprise your name, your current designation and a few experiences tied in with the job role.
