What Is Vectors In Illustrator?

You’ll notice many times, in the Raster art example, the edges of the art become distorted when the picture is enlarged. Vector artwork is built from vector graphics, which are images created with mathematical formulas. In comparison, raster art is created with colorized pixels.

So, How to Vectorize any Raster Image?

Pick an Image to Convert to Vector & Select an Image Trace Preset. You will have options like 3 Colors, 6 Colors, 16 Colors, Shades of Grey, Black and White Logo, etc. To finish your vector, you’ll need to separate these color groups to edit them. To do so, select your traced image and click on the Expand button on the top of the window.

In the video, an example of the human face is also shown. You can see, there are many options present in the image trace. Select any of your choices and start vectorizing your raster image.
