Character Design with Pen Tool Part 2

Import your drawing first: Open Illustrator by scanning your character sketch (you can do this quickly by dragging the image file onto the Ai icon—an artboard containing your sketch will appear). It's now time to set up your workspace: The artboard should be sized to fit your sketch.

Individual characters' looks are visualised and created by character designers. The director provides them with descriptions to work from. Notes on a character's personality as well as physical characteristics may be included. To create characters, character designers draw inspiration from the screenplay and concept art.
