Editing Objects In Illustrator

In editing tools, the first option is the shape builder tool. Its shortcut key is SHIFT+M & it allows you to combine multiple shapes in various shape. You can merge shapes, as well as subtract one shape from another. In the video, examples explain of same.

Apart from the shape builder tool, more editing tools are present in toolbar like erase, scissor, and knife tool. In the video, a demonstration of every tool is shown using different objects.

Eraser quickly removes artwork areas easily by stroking with your mouse over any shape or set of shapes. By double-clicking the Eraser tool, you can define your eraser's diameter, angle, and roundness.

The Scissors tool use to cut shapes, which are closed paths and turn them into open-ended paths. The Scissors tool splits a path, graphics frame, or empty text frame at an anchor point or along a segment.

The Scissors tool is mean to split a path at an anchor point or along a segment. The Knife tool cuts objects along a path you draw with the tool, dividing objects. When you cut shapes with the Knife tool, they become closed paths. The Knife tool cuts objects along a freehand path you draw with the tool.
