How To Change Stroke And Fill Colors In Illustrator?

In this video, we will learn about decorative tool. With the decorative tool’s help, you can fill color, apply borders, and do so many other things as shown in the video. First, let’s see what color scheme is. To open it, press F6.

Now open stroke from property tool. You will see many different option for it. In that, you can change the width of the stroke by changing weightage. Also, as told in video, you can edit cap, corner, arrowheads and profile.

In stroke pallet, caps is available. It offers three options, and they work on an open path. Caps options are butt cap, round cap and projecting cap. See their working by applying one by one on any stroke. Another tool in stroke is a corner, and it works in the close path. It has three options: miter join, round join, bevel join.

You can also set the stroke’s alignment and change stroke design from the dashed line. You can disable the dashed line and apply profiles, too.

The first option is available in property tool to fill color in any object. Second is at the toolbar, and third is in the window menu. To save many colors at a place is called ‘Swatch’. It means by default preset of any color. You can save any new color in a swatch you have made.
