FAQs

Communication is a two way process. It's not just about what we say and how we say it, but also what the other person is saying and how they are saying it.

Some factors that affect communication are:

  • Environment
  • Emotions
  • Culture
  • Interpersonal distance

Verbal speech is a form of communication that uses words in order to convey meaning. It involves speaking and listening and can be used for face-to-face conversations, telephone conversations, radio broadcasts, television broadcasts, and recorded lectures.

When a sender conveys an emotion or a sensation, generates an idea, or perceives the urge to communicate, communication occurs. When the sender makes a conscious or unconscious decision to communicate the message with another person—the receiver—the communication process begins.

Verbal communication is the most common type of communication and it is often used to convey information or ideas. This type of communication might also include gestures, facial expressions, tone of voice, and body language.

Communication can be a two-way process where both parties are able to express themselves and share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings with each other.
