How To Use Dodge, Burn and Sponge Tool In Adobe Photoshop

Dodge Tool : It is used to make an image lighter from darker.

  • Select the Dodge tool  
  • Choose a brush tip and set brush options in the options bar
  • Drag over the part of the image you want to lighten 

Burn Tool :  The Burn tool darken areas of the image. Sometimes, due to natural light, Photographs appear shiny. To remove that, burn tool is used. 

Sponge Tool : To make some part of image black and white, sponge tool is used. This gives very nice effect to photographs.
