FAQs

Squash and stretching keep the movements from becoming rigid or stiff. It gives your animation a sense of elasticity and suppleness. The principle of squash and stretch means that the stronger the squeeze and squash, the bouncier the film will be.

The exaggeration of a non-rigid body's distortion as it moves is known as squash and stretch. Squash is used to demonstrate impact force or anticipation, whereas stretch is used to show acceleration or velocity. A falling rubber ball, for example, may begin to stretch as it accelerates.

To express particular emotions, we stretch and squish our face muscles. Using this approach effectively, one can use this study to bring out or enhance an expression while animating. A muscle squashes when it is contracted and stretches when it is expanded.
