Basic Walk Cycle with Pose to Pose Principle

CONTACT, RECOIL, PASSING, and HIGH-POINT are the four distinct positions that make up a walk cycle. A stroll cycle is made up of these four stances and a few in-between drawings.

The contact, low, passing, and high positions make up the walk cycle, after which we return to the contact stance. The tip of the front heel makes touch with the ground in the contact stance.

A walk cycle in animation is a sequence of frames or images that loop to generate an animation of a walking character. Because the walk cycle is repeated, it is necessary to avoid animating each step repeatedly.

The Essential Ingredients for a Successful Walking Cycle A simple looped walk cycle will typically be roughly 10 frames long, with five frames between crossovers. The moment one leg passes the other, it is called a crossover. Right over left and left over right, the arms swing in unison.
