The steps to create a line or ray in Autocad are as follows:
Click the Line tool on the Draw panel.
Select the start point with a left mouse click and then drag to define the start point of the line.
Click on an endpoint and drag it to define an end point for the line.
Click on another endpoint and drag it to define an end point for the line again, if necessary, or click again on a previous endpoint and drag it to change its location.
Press Enter when finished drawing lines or press Esc when you want to cancel drawing lines and remove all drawn points from your screen
