By typing over the highlighted layer name, you can create a new layer name.
Enter descriptive text in the Description column for intricate drawings with numerous layers.
By clicking on each column, you may specify the new layer's settings and default values.
Using AutoCAD Layers to Create Drawing Layers:
Click Data Add Drawing in Display Manager. Layer for Data Drawing.
Select the AutoCAD layers that contain the items to be displayed in the Select Layers dialogue box.
Select Group Selection to group the layers.
Click the OK button.
A layer designated 0 is included in each drawing. To ensure that every drawing has at least one layer, Layer 0 cannot be erased or renamed. Rather than creating your complete drawing on layer 0, you should always establish numerous new layers with which to organise it.
Check that all of the layers are plot-ready. Toggle the plot column of the layer > Type LA to open the layer manager > Check the plot column of the layer > Toggle it to plot. Note that the Plot column in the layers panel in AutoCAD for Mac is disabled by default. To enable it, right-click a column heading and select Plot from the menu.
