After Effects is a video editing software that provides various effects and presets to the users. Presets are predefined combinations of effects, which can be applied to clips or layers with just one click. There are many presets available in After Effects. They are categorized into different sections and each preset has a different purpose.

Types of effects: After Effects has a number of different types of effects that can be used to enhance videos. These include camera effects, motion graphics, 3D objects, shapes, text animators and more.

When you open an effect or preset, you can change the settings of the effect by clicking on the panel that shows up on top of the preview.

There are many ways to create your own custom effect. You can use a plugin or a code snippet. You can also just copy and paste the code from an example on the internet. The most important thing is that you have some idea of what you want to do before you start.

Yes, you can change the color of an effect. You can also add a texture to it.
