You can use motion tracking to track an object's movement and then apply that tracking data to another object (such as another layer or an effect control point) to build compositions in which pictures and effects follow the motion.
Perform one of the following with a footage layer selected:
Select Animation > Track Camera from the layer context menu, or select Track Camera from the Animation > Track Camera menu.
Select 3D Camera Tracker from the Effect menu.
The Track Camera button is located on the Tracker panel. It's time to use the 3D Camera Tracker effect.
Unless you're going for a specific style, you'll want to stabilise your shots to remove any unnecessary motion. In Adobe After Effects, the Warp Stabilizer VFX automatically removes superfluous jitters. Because the layer is scaled and travels slowly to offset the undesirable movement, the motion seems smooth when played back.
When filming videos, you can utilise video stabiliser equipment to keep your phone or camera stable. You can also use video stabilisation software in post-production to correct shaky videos. There are several different types of video stabiliser software available nowadays.
