Shape layers are made up of vector graphics objects known as shapes. A shape has a path, a stroke, and a fill by default. (For further information, see About pathways and Strokes and fills for shapes.) Shape layers are created by sketching with the shape tools or the Pen tool in the Composition panel.
One of the most important panels for producing animations is the Timeline panel. Each composition has its own Timeline panel, which allows you to animate layer and effect attributes, position layers in time, and alter layer blending modes.
Layer > Arrange > Bring Layer Forward, Send Layer Backward, Bring Layer To Front, or Send Layer To Back.
