In the address bar, type www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects.html and press Enter or Return on your keyboard. At the top of the page, click the Free Trial option. This option can be found in a navigation bar at the top of the page. Open Adobe Creative Cloud and log in.

The MINIMUM amount of memory recommended for AE is 8 GB. For improved performance, most users recommend a minimum of 16 GB.

Because you're already familiar with Photoshop and other Adobe products, it'll be a breeze. Because After Effects employs the same principle as Photoshop, namely layers of films and effects with a Timeline, you can learn it quickly.

It is well worth the money. After Effects and a slew of other software are included in the Creative Cloud Suite subscription, and any one of them could pay for the membership on its own.
