Select the type layer in the Layers panel and the Horizontal or Vertical Type tool in the Tools panel to change text on it. Make any changes to the choices bar's settings, such as font or text colour. Click the check mark in the options bar when you're finished modifying.
Select the Horizontal Type tool from the tools panel. Type a phrase into the image where you'd like to insert text. Press Escape to exit the text field when you're finished. In the Layers panel, you'll notice a new layer with your text.
In the Tools panel, find and pick the Type tool. You can also access the Type tool by pressing the T key on your keyboard at any moment. Choose the desired font and text size in the Control panel near the top of the screen. Select the desired colour from the dialogue box by clicking the Text Color Picker.

Text can be typed onto the current layer using the Primary colour with this tool. Change the font, font size, formatting, text rendering mode, justification, antialiasing, and blend mode with the Text Controls in the Tool Bar.
