The Lasso Tool is the simplest version available. Simply move your pointer around your object to build a path by clicking on a beginning point in your canvas. The Lasso Tool will track your mouse's exact motions all the way back to where you started.
Standard Lasso, Polygonal Lasso, and Magnetic Lasso are the three types of Lasso tools accessible in Photoshop. They all allow you to select images, but they do so in different ways to accomplish the same end result.
The lasso tool is used to trace the edges of a selection by clicking and dragging on the active layer of an image. Most software allows you to select numerous closed contours by crossing the edge path multiple times.
The Lasso tool lets you draw a chosen area freehand. Draw straight lines to create a selection area with the Polygonal Lasso tool. Magnetic Lasso tool: Creates a selected region by tracing the edge of a complex image. It's called "magnetic" because it searches for the edges you want to choose.
