  • An unchecked exception is an exception that is not handled by the code. An unchecked exception can cause the program to crash or run into a problem.
  • Checked exceptions are exceptions that are handled by the code and can be caught with a try-catch block to prevent the program from crashing or running into an error.

Some of the benefits of using exception handling are:

  • Exception Handling allows you to change your mind later on without changing your code.
  • Exception Handling allows you to check what exceptions have been thrown by calling try-catch blocks without having to check every function or method call in your code.
