Understanding of Brushes

Go to Properties Panel>Style> Brush Library icon or choose the Paint Brush tool and go to Windows> Brush Library icon. To add a pattern brush to the document, double-click on it in the Brush Library. It appears in the Properties panel's Stroke Style drop down once it's been added to the document.
