In the last topic we’ve learned about Beta Testing. And In this topic, we will learn about Acceptance Testing. Now we will see the Acceptance Testing Introduction, it’s example and how it is used. First of all we will see the introduction. In Acceptance Testing we will check whether the software is developed with the required specifications or not. Acceptance Testing is done by the clients so that they can tell, the build that has reached them is as per their requirement or not. We also get to know Customer satisfaction level from Acceptance Testing. In Acceptance Testing, functional testing is also involved. And Acceptance Testing is a Black Box Testing. Now we will see the Acceptance Testing Process, which is called the UAT process, which is the User Acceptance Testing process. Before moving into the production, we will keep in mind that any critical defects of issues are not open. Business process workflow should be on a satisfactory level. And it is important that whoever are the stakeholders, their user acceptance signoff is there in the meeting. If we see in a simple way what is there in the process? Analysis of the requirement, how the UAT plan is created and what are its business objectives which the users expect from us. Here is one more example to tell us how the UAT script is. Like you can see, Test Name, UAT, then one description is mentioned, then the steps and then the expected results. So, this is a script and this is the acceptance of the user on a particular software or application. The UAT testing is related to a process. And what does it test? Requirement. All the customer’s requirements should be fulfilled. Why is Acceptance Testing done? Then the question arises: Why is it needed? If the developer makes the code as per his wish and what if it is not as per the original user requirement, requirement change is not properly communicated to the developer. The UAT client will be sure, what he has to expect and he should not assume that this would happen. He should be very sure that this will happen in this way. Whichever requirement is given will function in this way. So, we saw the introduction of Acceptance Testing, it’s example and why Acceptance Testing is used. In the next topic we will study Testing methods.
