Selenium with IE browser blending may be used to test any application because it allows us to run our tests in many browsers. Internet Explorer provides a driver that establishes a connection between Selenium WebDriver and IE and then runs the Selenium tests on the browser.

Selenium cross-browser testing is a way for testing web applications in parallel across many browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. Selenium enables cross-browser testing by examining how programmes perform across a variety of browsers and operating systems.

The Internet Explorer Driver Server serves as a conduit between your tests and the Internet Explorer browser. You won't be able to communicate with the IE browser until the server is running on your PC. The WebDriver protocol is implemented by the IE Driver server.

Selenium IDE is a browser extension that automates the testing process. Chrome and Firefox are currently supported.
