FAQs

TestNG improves the structure, readability, maintainability, and usability of automated tests. It has a lot of functions and reports. Its high-end annotations, such as dataprovider, make cross-browser testing across different devices, browsers, and versions easy to scale up.

The testing framework is called TestNG (Test Next Generation). TestNG is based on JUnit and NUnit, but it adds new features to make the framework more powerful and user-friendly.

TestNG allows test methods to run in parallel. It enables the definition of one test method's reliance on another. It enables test methods to be prioritised. It enables the classification of test procedures into test groups.

Cedric Beust designed TestNG in 2004 to make end-to-end testing simple and easy, based on JUnit and NUnit.

More Java and OO features are used in TestNG. Aids in the examination of integrated classes (e.g., by default, no need to create a new test class instance for every test method). Compile-time test code is separated from run-time configuration/data information. Configure the runtime to your liking.
