Hello friends.
Now that you have completed this course, you might be wondering what next. Right?
Well, I am going to share some of my own insights and experiences. I am going to tell you that after completing this course, how can you proceed further in your career?
So, first of all, let’s have a look at some career options.
Well, you can start as a recruiter. You can pick a profile of a general recruiter where you will be hiring for every kind of profile and there is no specification around the kind of people that you hire.
Or, you can go into a specialized field based on your current expertise. So, if you belong from an IT or manufacturing background, you can enter as a technical recruiter.
If you want to hire for management positions, then you can move to a non-technical side. And there are some recruiters who only focus on the senior level recruitments, which is also a different category where you can reach by developing your own skill sets over a period of time.
Then, there is a “TA specialist”. Why are they specialists? Because either they have that required knowledge or exposure in a particular industry or a particular field or for a particular position. That’s why they are called TA specialists.
Well, these people hire for very specific roles and their KRA is designed very effectively. Therefore, they will hardly hire for any other roles beyond those roles. The role of a specialist is very focused on one particular aspect itself.
Then the next option is “TA lead”.
So, as you grow in your career, you can also lead a team wherein you have some technical recruiters under you, some non-technical recruiters, some specialists and you can give them a mandate and drive them to get a result. You can also work along with them and guide them based on your expertise and exposure so that they also learn from your experiences and the knowledge that you carry. Okay.
Now, this is about the career options. After completing this particular course, there are some other courses that you can explore. Let’s talk about that.
So, the first course is “negotiation skills. Negotiation skill as a recruiter or a talent acquisition expert is very important. And you can gain expertise in it by gaining some knowledge around it or by some practical exposure. The ideal way is to first go through the course. then apply it and based on the lessons learned proceed ahead.
The next course is, “Effective communication skills”. Now when I talk about communication skills, I am not talking about a language. Language is already a mastery. English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, you name it, it’s there.
But what I am talking about is how effectively you can convey your ideas to the other person and that is what matters. Because your communications skills can also influence a candidate in understanding more about what you are trying to say and what is the rationale behind your thought process?
And lastly, the course that I recommend you to do in the future is “Strategic business partner”. Because as we are progressing into a more modern organization, HR is no longer a support function but a partner to the business.
Therefore, the sooner you understand this and act upon it, you will be able to understand the business requirements and pick up the hiring mandates as well. Also, you will be able to contribute to the growth of the organization proactively. (Got it?)
So, with this, I wish you all the very best in all your future endeavors and I wish that you all succeed in whatever path you pick.
