A Single Board Computer (SBC) such as the Raspberry Pi can be used to create PWM signals for motor speed control, but there is one drawback: the Raspberry Pi only has one PWM hardware pin.
The Raspberry Pi's default PWM mode is Balanced. In the PWM generator register, this function is used to set the range for PWM generating. 1024 is the default range. Using the wiringPi Software PWM library, we can generate PWM on each GPIO pin on the Raspberry Pi.
There are two pairs of PWM channels on the Pi 4B and 400 (and CM4). PWM0 0 is available on GPIO 12, 18, or 52. The 40-pin header only receives GPIOs 12, 13, 18, and 19.
