The most significant distinction is that Arduino is a microcontroller board, whereas Raspberry Pi is a microprocessor-based tiny computer (SBC). The CPU, RAM, and ROM are all found on the Arduino board's Microcontroller. The Arduino Board's additional hardware is for power, programming, and IO connectivity.
